The VersaPost was designed for wood privacy fences.

With the VersaPost anyone can build a beautiful wood privacy fence using only simple tools. And the VersaPost was designed to allow for easy one person installation for both professionals and do-it-yourselfers. The posts can be covered with an addtional fence board, they can be made to look like a 4 x 4 wood post, and they can also be disguised as a black iron post. With the VersaPost you get the look of wood and the strength of steel.

VersaPost
The VersaPost is a high strength steel post available in three different lengths. Each post has a C-shaped center section that resists twisting in high winds. The post is designed to have the rails attached directly to the sides of the post with no brackets required. This reduces overall costs and the labor required for installaion. The VersaPost is engineered to withstand a 70 mph wind load. The posts are heavily galvanized to resist corrosion. To better understand how the VersaPost works please visit the installation page.

Spring clamps
A stationary horizontal surface is essential for the installation of the fence stringers. The stringer will rest on the horizontal surface while it is attached to the post. Two inexpensive spring clamps will do. Two clamps allow one person to install all of the stringers.

Long shaft power bit and screws.
The VersaPost can be installed with square drives, Phillips, star drives and more. For easiest installation the screws should have a type 17 tip.

Fence Brackets.
Fence brackets attach directly to the side of the post. They are used only on those occasions when access to the opening in the C-channel is not available. This might happen when a post is set tight against a structure.
